We are an indie games development studio. Our core team are Pamela and Juan Manuel, a married couple that dreams on making amazing and unforgettable games to share with the world.
Our company started fueled by the dream of making games. This dream started when Pamela decided to pursue a Computer Science degree at University. After almost 10 years of working in IT projects developing and managing, and not prioritizing her dream, she decided to finally try and start her "dream job". Luckily, at the time a Government Fund had just started receiving applications. The fund was "Nosotras Creamos" (roughly translated to "We, girls, create") and was aimed to help women in creative industries. Following this destiny call, Pamela applied and got the funding to start Raincup Games and pre-producing the company's first product: Jumpy Paws. For 8 incredible months, thanks to a team of 5, the game started to see the light completing some early development stages. By the end of February 2019 Jumpy Paws was launched in Chile in a sort of technical softlaunch. After that
Raincup Games continued its journey with the core team: Pamela and her husband Juan Manuel as the rest of the Jumpy Paws team embarked in other projects. New concepts and ideas started to grow and helped define the future steps for Raincup Games. In July 2019, the company got new public funding. The objective this time was to make a better and more polished version of Jumpy Paws, increase its commercial potential and find publishing opportunities. A new era for the game and the company started in October 2019. New collaborators and ideas arrived. Working with a fresh team of 8 people the game has seen incredible changes. New art, music, sound and design are aiming to make the product the best it can be. As a company and team we have also started learning a lot. Given we are not experienced in the game development industry, we decided to team up with people who have many years working in games. We have learned a lot from them and have started to shape our own process for developing the games we want to make. We are now full of energy and ideas, defining our future projects, our brand and working hard to shape the company we want to be in the next 10 years.
